The organization has created patches that change color based on the amount of alcohol that someone has consumed, and the patch is able to do this using the individual’s sweat. If someone has consumed enough alcohol to put them over the legal limit, the patch will change colors.
Using a patch, people no longer have to do guesswork to determine if they are sober enough to drive. The start-up is still looking for funding and a way to mass produce the patches, but they have already received some grants. Owners of the start-up are hoping to work with businesses to create unique patches for different bars and restaurants.
